The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday is a time for family togetherness along with a healthy dose of chaos. Take a break for some quality time the midst of cooking the turkey, preparing for out of town guests, travelling, and more! 1. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving- A classic that never grows old. Follow the gang as they plan the perfect Thanksgiving together. The classic soundtrack, sweet animation, and adorable shenanigans are the most ideal way to kick off the Thanksgiving festivities.

  2. Pocahontas- Learn more about Native Americans and the Jamestown settlers in this classic Disney princess flick. While not an entirely accurate historical depiction, the story and the music make this a great one to introduce to the whole family.

  3. Turkey Hollow- This is a newer movie made by the filmmaking legends at The Jim Hensen Company (that’s right, the same ones who brought us the Muppets). Follow a dad and his two kids as they visit Aunt Cly in Turkey Hollow. Adventures and hilarity ensue as they get to know the somewhat eccentric members of the community.

  4. Fantastic Mr. Fox- Wes Anderson brought us this first ever animated film and it did not disappoint. While not based at Thanksgiving specifically, the visuals are perfectly warm, cozy, and fall appropriate, there’s friendship, togetherness, and deliciously decadent shared meals.

  5. The Fox and the Hound- This classic animated film celebrates a friendship that is truly against all odds. When a red fox and a hunting hound become friends, their friendship is put to the test. The kids will enjoy the sweet story in this vintage film.

  6. Harry Potter- Travel to the magical Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The entire Harry Potter franchise is perfect for cozying up together for a Thanksgiving weekend marathon with the family. We can’t think of much better than spending a few hours in Hogwarts while enjoying a big plate of Thanksgiving leftovers.

  7. Free Birds- What happens when the Turkeys decide to fight back? This adorable CGI film features a star-studded voice cast and plenty of riotous adventuring.

  8. Garfield’s Thanksgiving- If you grew up with this lasagna loving cat, then you’ll enjoy this walk down memory lane. Garfield’s Thanksgiving is a classic episode of the vintage cartoon that will delight your kids and take you on an adventure to the past.

  9. Chicken Run- The chickens on this farm have had enough! This stop mortion film, brought to you by the same people who made Wallace and Grommit, is a laugh-out-loud masterpiece. This one has something for the whole family and promises to make you giggle and warm your heart.

  10. Arthur’s Thanksgiving- Entertain little ones with episodes of Arthur celebrating Thanksgiving. Arthur and his band of buddies are always learning, adventuring, and having fun as a team. This is a great way to build excitement for the holiday with your little ones.
