The Bedlam Blood Battle- Our Why
Next Monday, November 11th from 11 am - 3 pm we will have an Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Mobile in the back parking lot of the office taking donations. All Donors get their choice of a FREE OSU or OU T-Shirt!
This blood drive has an incredibly personal story behind it and means so much to our customer service representative, Kelsey Chambers.
From Kelsey: "My father in law was recently diagnosed with an aggressive bone marrow cancer. He is going to try stem cell treatment at the end of this month. He will be in isolation for 3 weeks through the holidays and he will need multiple blood transfusions daily.
He hasn't been able to work since April because he has been so sick, so money is tight for them. Every bag of blood I can get donated to his name is one less bag they have pay for.
The great news is, it doesn't matter what blood type you are! Your donation will go to someone who matches your blood type and the credit from your donation will be used on a bag that matches his blood type.
So I ask you to please consider coming out to donate blood. It would mean the world to my family!
Your donation doesn't just affect my family, it affects many other families who are going through similar situations as I am.
