Try the Color of the Year WITHOUT Painting a Room
The color and paint geniuses at Sherwin-Williams announced their 2022 color of the year. This year they have chosen the color “Evergreen Fog” to be the signature color that designers and homeowners will use again and again.
Described by the Sherwin-Williams website as this:
“Evergreen Fog SW 9130 is a versatile and calming hue, a chameleon color of gorgeous green-meets-gray, with just a bit of blue. It's a simple but sophisticated wash of beautiful, organic color for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement shade.”
Trends come and go and it can feel overwhelming to chase the latest ones. Color is an easy way to try out a new trend without committing to something quite as high stakes as many other makeovers.
We rounded up several ways we’ll be incorporating this Evergreen Fog color into our homes this next year that don’t involve painting an entire room or even a full wall. Take a look!
Try a Painted Arch: Painted arches are having a moment. These artistic touches are a fun way to bring attention to an occasional table or bookshelf wall. This tutorial gives some great advice about making one of these for yourself. Some creative designers are incorporating painted arch headboards in bedrooms. This is a fun way to try on a color without committing to a full wall.

Try adding in some interchangeable covers when you’re not quite sure whether a color is for you or not. An added bonus is that these pillows are a chunky corduroy, perfect for adding texture this fall.
